A very cool little town that really cares about the children who live there.

ME BRUNSWICK is one of those quaint little flyover towns that you could easily miss at 30,000 feet. But it’s a little town with a great big heart as big as the sea. Everywhere you look in ME Brunswick you see people taking great care, no let me say extraordinary care of their kids.Sure, most people who have children myself included take good care of their very own flesh and blood that’s a fact. But in ME Brunswick these folks take it to a whole new level. All you have to do is look on their official website for their town and scroll down the Navigation bar and you will see exactly what I am referring too.
This little small town could literally teach most of us a big lesson. There are more activities for kids to do here than Paul Bunyan could have shaken a stick at. Literally every single month the calendar is littered (not in a bad way) with activities that 100% have the best interest of the kids in the town at heart.Besides the nearly unbelievable level of activities this little town goes out of its way to provide for its youngsters the Androscoggin River winding gently along the north of the town and with Maine’s beautiful Casco Bay to the south you will see untold numbers of kids out enjoying the water and water sport activities. But the one thing that I saw here verses other places not just in America but all over the world is just how much supervision these kids have in their daily lives.
Normally in most any town you see a number of kids roaming around with nothing to do per say except look for trouble. Here in ME Brunswick you just don’t see too much of that. When you see the towns kids at the River- you see Parents, when you see them at the Park, you see Parents and even downtown you see pretty close supervision by their elders.
Why am I so impressed with this you might ask? Simple really. This place is a town that feels like it did when I was a kid blank years ago (we don’t have to go there, do we?). It was a time when life felt simpler, more relaxed and well pardon the use of the word as it may sound kinda Corny but the place feels wholesome. Why is this important? 1st off, keeping kids occupied with tons of activities is the best way I know of to keep them out of trouble and without too much time on their hands. Secondly, where do you think our next generation is coming from? We need small towns like ME Brunswick to provide that feeling that has all but left most of our major cities, that true feeling of Americana that feeling of wholesome.
