Choosing Your Chest Furniture
Posted on June 10th, 2009 No commentsDecorating your home can be a wonderfully exciting time. Chest furniture is a fabulous choice for any room in your home because it can provide beauty as well as function. When you are shopping for a piece of chest furniture, you should keep a few things in mind to make sure that it is the right furniture for your home.
The Chest furniture that you choose should fit in with the décor of your home. There are some great varieties available that will give you some wonderful choices for your room. Take a look at the furniture that is available online to get some good ideas for your room. There are a number of furniture sites online that will provide you with a good look at the designs that are available in chest furniture.
Take some measurements in the room where you will be placing the furniture so that you are sure you get the right piece for your room. It is a little difficult to determine if something will fit in a room when you don’t know the exact measurements.
Along with the décor of the room and the measurements for your available space, you should also consider your budget. There is a wide range in prices that you could pay for the piece that you choose so it is a good idea to determine your budget in advance.
Choose the places that you will shop for your Chest furniture. A great second hand store is just as likely to have a treasure for you as a high end furniture store. Even if you find a piece that is in rough shape, you might be able to bring it back to its full beauty with a little hard work on your part. Many people find this to be a great hobby as well as a way to find the best pieces for their home.
Once you have your chest furniture in place in your home, you will find it to be a great place to store your belongings and add to the beauty of your home. A chest can be used in a dining room to store your special silver and other dining essentials or it is often used in a bedroom for clothing storage. Use your imagination when you are choosing where and how to use your chest furniture. Your home is your showplace, which means that it is up to you how your furniture is used in your home.

Top 3 iPhone Apps for Moms-to-Be
Posted on June 10th, 2009 No commentsPregnancy is a beautiful experience.
It literally takes over your life and becomes YOU.
So, if you have an iPhone or iPod touch, of course you will want add pregnancy related apps to your collection.
For instance…
You might be on your way to a pregnancy massage and have a baby name idea… there is an app for that, you know.
Your girlfriends may call you about what unique baby shower gifts you’ve registered for… is there an app for that?
You may want to chat with other mommies-to-be in a pregnancy forum… you can make an app for that!
iPhone Apps for Mommies-To-Be
App #1 – Best Pregnancy Calendar
My choice is iPregnancy from Dr. Gregory P. Moore. It will help you keep track of your pregnancy right along with your doctor!
Once your due date is established and entered, the program will keep track of your current progress in pregnancy including your:
- Current gestational age in weeks and days (like doctors use)
- Current gestational age in lunar months
- Progress bar that will show you how far you have progressed
- Current Trimester Time remaining until your due date (in weeks and days)
- And more…
App #2 – Best Baby Game App
I really like playing with the app called Babyface. It is a “baby appearance predictor”. Meaning, it creates a full color graphic of what your baby may look like
.Now, this is for fun so don’t be surprised if it isn’t accurate. The app has an amazingly scientific explanation behind the technology which is supposed to generate the babyface… despite that mumbojumbo, it is a lot of fun.
App #3 – Best Baby Naming App
NameShake is an app I really love. It has over 19,000 names and, the coolest part, you just set a few parameters, shake your iPhone and, voila, out pops a cool baby name you never would have thought of.
My husband loves it too. We had lots of baby name books but this app is really all we needed.
Obviously, there are lots of apps on iTunes. These are just the 3 I played with the most.
I hope you like them too!
